Pick a place and time in history such as the American Revolutionary War and imagine what it would be like if people wrote blogs rather than journals. In this activity students will choose a character (e.g. child, mother/wife, officer, journalist, tradesman, slave, etc.) and write a fictitious first-hand account of history from their perspective.
