Introduction
For this year's Black History Month, Mrs. Marapana wants the 5th grade students to learn about the many great contributions from Black Inventors. She wants each student to select a famous black inventor and to do research using a school database. Then she wants the students to share what they learned with each other. Students should be able to convey the information to their classmates quickly. The information should be easy to digest and remember.
Here is the information which should be included in the project:

Game Cards
Making game cards and trading cards is a fun way to convey a confined amount of information. The final format is an "image" which can easily be shared, printed, or added to another app. Something to consider is whether you want the card to be one sided or two. The example to the right is one sided. I chose it because I want to use the card in 3 different ways:

I used My Poke Card to make this one. Depending on which card type you chose, students may be able to include their name and give source credit.

Memory Game
A memory game would be a fun way for the students to learn about their classmate's inventors. The teacher would create the game using the students' cards, inventor's name, and what they are famous for. When playing the game, students would match the name of the inventor with their playing card. They would see what the inventor is famous for when the have a correct match. Here's an example using the Interacty app.
