OverDrive is a free service offered by your public library that lets you borrow digital content (like eBooks and audiobooks) anytime, anywhere. Every OverDrive collection is slightly different because each library picks the digital content they want for their users. All you need to get started with free digital content from your library is an internet connection, a library card, and a library login.
We are currently evaluating the use of using the "OpenDyslexic Bold" font with some of our students to see if it helps them with their reading. Being able to change the font is one of the features of OverDrive. Students can check out and read the same book on different devices (e.g. at home and at school). This means students can see their current reading/listening progress, bookmarks, highlights, and notes and pick up right where they left off, regardless of device. ePub
If you select the ePub format, you'll be given the opportunity to download the ebook to your device. Once you download it, it will appear on the bookshelf on OverDrive. You can download it on as many devices as you want. The books will automatically sync.
