Artificial Intelligence (AI) is everywhere, affecting every industry, and used in ways I never expected. Take art for example, when I first heard about Art and AI, it was simple to understand and I could see how it might be useful. For example, you could use Google Quick Draw to help it learn how to draw different images. It would ask you to draw a bike and then save your drawing. Thus capturing lots of different people's interpretations and skill level of drawings of bikes. That then became the engine for Google Auto Draw where you begin to draw something and it suggests professionally created clip art that you can use instead.
I never imagined how quickly that would advance. Fast forward to today and DALL-E will create unique artwork based on your specifications, in a couple of minutes. DALL-E learned art by studying over 650 million images. What is mind blowing is the variety of prompts you can feed it. Here are a just a handful taken from the 82 page DALL-E 2 Prompt Book:

Here's an example of a possible 3rd Grade Regions Fair image for Illinois. I doubt you'll find an image of "Abraham Lincoln, eating deep dish pizza, wearing a Cubs hat, drawn in a Keith Haring style" on the Internet!
DALL-E is an Open AI project and images can be used free for personal and school use. There are discussions on how to monetize the service. Enjoy it while it's free!
